Inspector Notes
A complaint inspection was conducted on March 30, 2023. There were twelve children present, ranging in ages from infants to preschool, with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of physical plant, staffing/supervision and special care provisions/emergencies. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on interview, facility did not ensure during stated hours of operation there shall always be on the premises, when one or more children are present, one staff member and an immediately available staff member, volunteer or other employee.
Evidence: On this date, staff #1 arrived at 6:00 AM and was present in the building with 3 children until staff #2 arrived at 6:09 AM. Both staff confirmed staff #1 was present with children and there was no other staff or employees on the premises.

Based on observation and interview, facility did not ensure there is at least 1 staff per 5 children when the youngest in the group is of toddler age (16 months up to 24 months).
Evidence: On this date at approximately 7:20 AM, Staff #3 was present with 6 children in the toddler classroom. The youngest child in the group is 16 months old. Staff #3 stated the second staff is expected arrived at 8:00 AM.
