8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above, to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. A subsidy inspection was initiated and completed on April 28, 2025. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Within the first 90 days of employment all caregivers shall complete the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Education. Staff #1 did not complete the Virginia Preservice training and has been employed since November 2024.

All caregivers shall have within 90 days of employment, current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the ages of children in care. Staff #1 does not have a current certification in CPR has been employed working with children for over 90 days.
