Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe the daycare areas of the home.
A scheduled initial family day home inspection was conducted at 10:00am. The provider was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and given a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were 3 children present = 7 points with the provider + Adult #1. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were playing with toys inside the home at the time of inspection. A daily schedule is in place, and includes indoor and outdoor activities. The daycare areas are located on the lower level of the home and were well supplied with toys + equipment for the children. Areas appeared to be clean and organized today. The outdoor play area is on a brick patio covered with artificial grass at the rear of the home. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were areas of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed.
