During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on November 21, 2024 and completed on November 21, 2024, as a part of the current licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:30am and ended at 12:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 12 children present and 4 caregivers. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 8 caregiver/household member(s) records on-site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Standard 8VAC20-800-210-A
In addition to completion of first aid training and CPR training, caregivers will obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.

Two caregivers did not have evidence of training received in the past year.
Plan of Correction: Annual training of sixteen hours will be completed.
Standard 8VAC20-800-250-A
Hanging items including appliance cords will be out of reach of children under five years of age.

The cord from a wall heater was hanging within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: Cords will be secured out of reach of the children.
Standard 8VAC20-800-780-B
Annually, the provider will review with the parent the emergency contact information for accuracy and obtain the parent's signed acknowledgment of the review.

Child A and D had no documentation of an annual review in over one year.
Plan of Correction: We will review the emergency contact information with parents and obtain documentation of review.
Standard 8VAC20-800-960-E
Bottles will be refrigerated and labeled with the child's full name and the date, if more than one infant is in care.

There were unlabeled bottles in a lunch-bag with an icepack.
Plan of Correction: Bottles will be labelled with child's name, date, and contents daily and stored in the refrigerator.
