Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
Based on review of children records and medications, the center failed to obtain a written care plan for a child with a diagnosed food allergy.

Evidence:
1. Child #1 had an emergency medication, (Epi-Pen), at the center due to a diagnosed food allergy. There was not documentation of a written care plan on file for Child #1.
2. Administration verified that the written care plan for Child #1 could not be located.
Plan of Correction: Administration contacted the parent while the Licensing Inspector was on site, and requested that a written care plan be obtained from the child's physician.
