Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, document review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program. A monitoring inspection was initiated on August 5, 2021 and concluded on August 5, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were no children present and 3 staff were present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, programming, special care provisions and emergencies and nutrition. There were no children?s records reviewed, however one staff record was reviewed and the background checks of 3 other persons were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22VAC40-185-320-B
Based on observation and staff interviews, each restroom area provided for children shall be equipped with soap, toilet paper, and disposable towels or an air dryer within reach of children.

Evidence: The sink in the classroom #107 did not include soap or paper towels for children.
Plan of Correction: Soap and paper towels will be palced by the sink in the nap room (#107).
Standard 22VAC40-185-560-F
Based on observation and staff interviews, when centers choose to provide meals or snacks, they shall have a menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period and shall be dated.

Evidence: The snack menu posted did not include food items or the date for a current one week menu.
Plan of Correction: A completed snack menu for a minimum of one week will be created nd posted in each classroom.
