Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 1/8/2024 from 4:25 pm to 5:11 pm. There were 14 children in care, ages five years to ten years, in one group under the care of two staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed three children?s records, three staff records, and other program records. The children were observed on the playground and doing homework.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to document that an evacuation drill was done.

EVIDENCE:
1. Staff 1 stated that an evacuation drill was conducted in December 2023; however, there is no documentation showing this. Staff 1 stated that they didn?t write it down.
Plan of Correction: From now on, drills of all types will be documented when they are done.
