Inspector Notes
A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the code compliance inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in code were reviewed during this SHSI.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
5Staff #2 is currently working and has a TB screening that was dated 10 days after their first day of employment.
Staff #3 is currently working and has a TB screening that was dated 4 months prior to their first day of employment.
Staff # 3, who had been employed for 3 months did not have the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
A can of disinfectant and a container of disinfectant wipes with warning labels, ?Keep out of reach of children,? were unlocked in the infant room not within reach of children.
Three classes of children did not have their hands washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before lunch.
The diaper changing pad was not nonabsorbent in the infant room.
