Inspector Notes
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on May 24, 2022. Two licensing inspectors were onsite from approximately 9:50am until 12:00pm. The director assisted the licensing inspector during the inspection. There were 35 children present, ranging from three to five years of age and five staff supervising.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five children records and five staff members.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Violations
3Evidence:
The licensing inspectors observed disinfecting wipes sitting on a table in the room where children were eating snack.
Evidence:
The licensing inspectors observed staff wiping tables with disinfectant wipes after children ate their snacks. The department's definition for sanitizing is "sanitized" means treated in such a way to remove bacteria and viruses from inanimate surfaces through using a disinfectant solution. The surface of the item is sprayed and allowed to air dry for a minimum of two minutes. Disinfectant wipes to do not meet the definition of sanitizing.
Evidence:
The licensing inspectors asked how daily attendance is documented. The director stated the children's name tags are moved to a different column on a chart located on the door of the classroom when the children arrive in the mornings. The chart was mounted on the door and could not travel where the children were located.
