Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and an in person tour of the program.
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on October 11, 2022 and concluded on October 13, 2022. There were 22 children present with 4 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on a review of 5 staff records and staff interviews, the vendor did not ensure staff completed who work directly with children shall have completed the departments health and safety update course.
Evidence: The following records did not include the required annual 3 hour health and safety update course.
1.The most recent Health and Safety course available for review for Staff #1 was dated 6-18-2019. 2.The most recent Health and Safety course available for review for Staff #2 was 8-22-2017.
Plan of Correction: All current staff were given until 10-20-22 to complete the health and safety training. The health and safety training is now required to be completed by the first day.
