Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on September 20, 2023 and concluded on September 21, 2023. There were 53 children present with 4 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based record review and staff interviews, the vendor did not ensure staff who work directly with children shall have a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care and shall include an in-person competency demonstration.
Evidence: The following records did not include CPR documentation as required
1. Staff #3?s (hire date 9-6-2022) CPR certification did not include an in person competency demonstration.
2. Staff #4 (date of hire 4-14-2023) did not include CPR certification.

Evidence: The records for Staff #3?s (hire date 9-6-2022) and Staff #4 (date of hire 4-14-2023) did not include First Aid certification.
