Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director on September 6, 2023, beginning at 11:56am and ending at 2:41pm. There were 104 school aged children in the care of 12 direct care staff. The children were observed during nap time and silent reading. Five children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. Six medications were reviewed and in compliance. The menu, daily attendance, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 8/10/23. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 3/24/23.

Based on observation, not all of the areas and equipment inside of the center were maintained in a safe and operable condition. Evidence: In the early preschool classroom, one of the under-sink cabinet door was broken.
Plan of Correction: A work order will be placed to have the cabinet and lock repaired.
