Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 11:30am-12:25pm. There were 4 children (12 points) in the direct care and supervision of 2 staff. A sample of 4 children?s records, 2 Caregiver's records and 2 household member's records were reviewed. The children were observed singing and engaged in an playtime with the caregivers. Zero new staff have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. Based on observation, small electrical appliances were unused and plugged in during the inspection.

Evidence:
A hair blow dryer, and small kitchen appliances were plugged in and not being used.

Based on observation, A child-resistant protective cover was not installed on all unused electrical outlets and surge protectors.

Evidence:
There was an unused and uncovered outlet in the bathroom of the main child care area.
Plan of Correction: I will fix it today.

Based on record review, a child's record was missing required information.

Evidence:
1) The record of Child A was missing the start date
2) The record of Child B was missing the insurance policy number.
Plan of Correction: The mother will fix the file today.

Based on observation, the first aid kit did not contain required content.

Evidence:
The first aid kit was missing adhesive tape and 1 of 2 required triangle bandages.
