Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and an on-site tour of the program.

An initial inspection was initiated on December 7, 2021 and concluded on December 8, 2021. There were zero children present and two staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of zero child records and three staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the facility did not ensure diapering standards were followed.

Evidence:
In classroom #1, classroom #2, and classroom #3, the trash can used to dispose of diapers had a swing top that either the diaper or a persons hand must touch the lid in order to dispose of diapers.
Plan of Correction: As conveyed in earlier email, we pack/seal individual diaper in a diaper sack and then throw that in the trash can. This ensure that no diaper or hand touches the trash can. As per our understanding, this practice should meet the standard. On your recommendation, the trash can in these room, were changed on the same day and a photo was also shared.
