Inspector Notes
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing department on 3/23/2022 regarding allegations of non-compliance in the area of Procedures for Emergencies. The inspection was initiated on 3/31/2022 and completed on 4/1/2022. On 3/31/2022, the inspector was on site from 3:10 to 4:02 pm. Interviews were completed, observations were made in the center, and documentation was reviewed.
The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. See the violation notice for more details.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Please do not use staff names; list staff by positions only.
Violations
1Evidence:
1. Upon review, the center could not provide written documentation of an evacuation drill in February or March of 2022.
2. Interviews were conducted with staff and groupings of children and statements were gathered that drills had not occurred in February or March on the days the interviewees were in attendance.
3. Administration acknowledged that evacuations drills had not taken place at the center in February and March.
