Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted on 9/17/2021. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic the inspector was not site This inspection was conducted via video application as well as email and phone correspondence. There were 3 children enrolled and none present during inspection. The home, staff records, children?s records, and household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Per provider there were no medications on site today. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard 22VAC40-111-790
Based on inspection of Family Day Home it was determined that 911 and local poison control numbers were not posted as required.

Evidence: During inspection emergency numbers were not posted in home.
Plan of Correction: I will post the numbers

Based on the request and review of required documentation it was determined that all background checks were not maintained.

Evidence: During inspection provider did not have the results of a criminal history check from the state of Maryland which was the state that issued their ID less than 5 years prior to application.
Plan of Correction: I will get the background check completed.
