Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy inspection was conducted at 12:05pm. Observed 1 child + vendor = 2 points. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The child had just returned from active outdoor play, was playing with play dough while waiting to eat lunch. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Lunch served included: chicken nuggets, macaroni + cheese, mixed vegetables, grapes, and water. Required documents were posted in the home. An area of non-compliance with the subsidy requirements was found. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@doe.virginia.gov

Based on interview conducted, it was determined that a required subsidy training was not completed in the last 12 months. Evidence: The vendor was not sure if she completed the training and agreed to send the training certificate to the inspector if located. The Virginia Health + Safety Training certificate was not sent to the inspector.
Plan of Correction: The vendor agreed to complete the training in the next 30-days.
