Where playground equipment is provided, resilient surfacing shall be at least 6 inches thick and shall cover the fall zone. Slides have a fall zone of 6 feet on all sides and four feet plus the height of the slide in front of the slide chute.

The slides had mulch approximately 2-4 inches deep in an area approximately 5 feet at the end of the slides when the fall zone is 9.5 feet.
