Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 4/2/2024 from 10:50am through12:45pm. There were 88 children directly supervised by 17 staff and all classrooms were in ratio. The physical plant, outdoor playground area, programming, menus, 6 staff records, 9 children?s records, 4 medications, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed listening to story time, dancing to music, completing puzzles, and eating lunch which consisted of chicken taquitos, chicken rice, steamed carrots, orange slices, and milk. Infant care including feeding, diapering, and handwashing procedures were also observed. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children and the center was clean and organized. There was an adequate number of CPR/First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and MAT trained staff on site at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation and documentation review, the center did not ensure all requirements for administration of diaper cream were met.

Evidence: In the Infant room, Child #7 had a diaper cream on site and the center has not obtained written parent authorization.
