During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 10/23/2024 and completed on 10/23/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:35 am and ended at 11:30 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 25 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records.
This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-240-A
Staff are to complete the VDOE sponsored online orientation course within 90 days of hire. Staff #2, who is working with children, has not yet completed this course which is overdue by 1 month.
Staff #4, who is working with children, has not yet completed this course which is overdue by 2 months.
Plan of Correction: We will have staff complete training within 90 days oh hire.
Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. on 10/23/2024, there were 9 children present in the fours room, none of the children were marked present on the attendance record.
Plan of Correction: Staff will document the child's attendance as they arrive and leave the child care center.
Standard 8VAC20-780-90-A
A written agreement between the parent and the center shall be in each child's record by the first day of the child's attendance, the agreement must be signed by the parent.
Child # 1's record did not have a signed agreement from the parent. The child has been in attendance for 17 months.
Plan of Correction: The parent will sign the agreement at pick up this afternoon.
