Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted from 12:40 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. There were 27 children in care ages infant to 5 years old with 6 staff supervising. The cook was also present. Children were observed washing hands, having a bathroom break, and getting ready for a nap. Infants were observed being fed, during a diaper change, and playing. Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. There were two bottles of Clean Smart on a shelf cabinet that was not locked. It was out of the reach of children.
Plan of Correction: The site director corrected during the inspection and also reminded staff that all hazardous substances needed to be locked at all times.
