Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11-29-22 and concluded on 11-29-22. There were 20 children present with 6 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 6 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:15am and concluded at 11:40am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of medications and discussions with staff the center failed to ensure that medication was received in the pharmacy labeled container as dispensed.

Evidence:
The epi-pen for Child A was in the clear plastic tube only and had no pharmacy label as required.
Plan of Correction: A pharmacy label will be attached to the epi-pen tube as required for compliance.
