Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 09/20/2023 and concluded on 09/20/2023 from 9:45 AM to 11:48 AM. There were six children present, ranging in ages from 22 months to two, with four staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies. A total of five children?s records and the five staff?s records were reviewed for updates.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard 8VAC20-800-680-A
Based on observation, the caregivers failed to wash their hands with liquid soap and warm running soap after changing each child's diaper.

Evidence:

Two staff members were observed changing diapers. Neither staff washed their hands between diaper changing.
Plan of Correction: All caregivers will be reminded to wash hands between each diaper change.
