Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 7/1/2024. The on-site inspection began at 8:45AM and ended at 11:26AM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 12 children and 4 staff present. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records on-site on 7/1/2024. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility and observations.

A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with subsidy requirements. A violation notice was issued to the provider..

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Based on the review of three staff?s records, the center failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days current certification in CPR appropriate to the ages of children in care.

Evidence: Staff #2 date of hire was12/29/2023 and on the day of the inspection the CPR training was dated 4/21/2024.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure staff receive CPR training within 90 days of hire.
