Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 06/11/2025 and completed on 06/11/2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:40 AM and ended at 1:30 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 16 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records, 4 staff on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated.

The food in the infant?s refrigerator was not labeled or dated.
Plan of Correction: Staff and parents will be reminded to ensure all food from home is dated and labeled.
Standard 8VAC20-780-570-H
Prepared baby food not consumed during that feeding by an infant may be used by that same infant later in the same day, provided that the food is not served out of the baby jar and is dated and stored in the refrigerator; otherwise, it shall be
discarded or returned to the parent at the end of the day.

There was one container of opened baby food that was not dated or labeled with the owner?s name.
Plan of Correction: Staff will be reminded to label and date all baby food jars.
