Inspector Notes

This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 04/28/2023, between the hours of 10 am to 1:30 pm. There were 94 children present, ranging from infant to preschool-age, with 16 staff supervising, across 7 classrooms. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 7 children records, and 20 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the center.

Based on review, 1 of 20 staff files indicated that documentation that two or more references (as to character and reputation as well as competency) were checked before employment.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (04/28/2023), the was 1 reference on file for Staff #19.
2. The start date for Staff #19 was listed as 02/13/2023.
Plan of Correction: Staff will email their second written reference to the center. It is believed that this documentation was previously sent, however it is not currently on file.
