Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring visit and facility tour was conducted on 4/26/24. At the time of inspectors' arrival there were 15 infant to preschool aged children in care with 3 staff members and 2 administrators. Children were observed interacting with staff and nap. A sample of 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Director reported that there have been no injuries and medications are not being administered at this time. Areas of noncompliance are identified on the violation notice and were discussed with the director in an exit meeting at the conclusion of this inspection.
Violations
4Evidence:
1. There were 8 preschool aged children on their cots with no staff in the room.
2. Staff #5 was in the kitchen adjacent to the classroom doing dishes.
3. Staff #5 stated that they did not know that they had to be able to see the children during nap time.
Evidence:
1. There was an infant in a crib laying on a boppy type pad with a filled bumper around the edges.
2. Several of the infants in cribs had fluffy blankets in the crib with them.
Evidence:
1. There were 6 children without bottom covers observed napping during this inspection.
2. Staff confirmed that there were not bottom covers available during this inspection.
Evidence:
1. There were two bottles in cribs with infants during this inspection.
2. Staff confirmed the bottles were in the cribs.
