An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was conducted on February 18, 2025 as a part of the provisional licensure period). The on-site inspection began at time10:30 a.m. and ended at 12:45 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 29 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed (#) children?s records and (#) staff records on-site OR electronically on (date). This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances must be in a locked place that prevents access by children. In the children's bathroom, there was Lysol with bleach wipes in an unlocked lower cabinet and
wizard air freshener in an unlocked upper cabinet. In the infant room, an air freshener was on the diaper changing table. In the toddler room, Glade and Clorox wipes were in an unlocked lower cabinet.

Standard 8VAC20-780-370-5
Staff shall provide awake infants not playing on the floor or ground a change in play space at least every 30 minutes or more often as determined by the individual infant's needs. An infant was in the crib, awake from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and was not provided a change in play space.

Tables and high chair trays shall be sanitized before and after each use for feeding. Staff in the infant room wiped off a high chair that had been used for feeding, but did not sanitize it.

When a child is placed in an infant seat or high chair, the protective belt shall be fastened securely. The safety protective belt was not fastened for a 2 year old in a high chair. The child was trying to get out of the seat.
