Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was conducted on May 1, 2025 as a part of the provisional licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 2:00 p.m. and ended at 4:00 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 33 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 0 children?s records and 2 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations

Standard 8VAC20-780-430-A
Furnishings, equipment, and materials shall be of an appropriate size for the child using it. A 19 month old child was asleep in an infant rocker. The child's legs were hanging over the edge of the rocker.
Plan of Correction: The child will be transitioned to a cot.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
The diapering area shall have the following a sink with running warm water. The infant room sink did not have warm running water; the hot water switch had been turned off.
Plan of Correction: The hot water switch was accidently turned off when the water basin was filled in the portable sink. The director turned the switch back on.
