Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was completed today. The physical plant, 1 caregiver file, 2 children's files, caregiver training, child nutrition, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected approximately between 11:15 am and 12:10 pm. There were 6 children under the supervision of 2 caregivers.

During the inspection, children were observed outdoor play, transitioning to handwashing and snack, and circle time. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature.

Today, the children were had their own snack from home and milk was provided. Should you have any questions, please contact me at eureka.nance@doe.virginia.gov.

Based on a walkthrough observation of the home, the provider did not have a tight-fitting bottom cover.
Evidence:
1. The provider has three cribs. One of the cribs did not have a tight-fitting bottom cover.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ask parents to bring fitted sheet for crib and will make sure the sheet is fitted on the crib.
