8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Inspector Notes

An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted with the vendor on January 22, 2024 beginning at 1:00 P.M. and ending at 2:03 P.M. There were four children, ages 3, 4, 4, and 5 years old for a total of 7 points. The children were observed sleeping on resting mats during nap time. Two children's records were reviewed and in compliance. The vendor and one household member's records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider does administer medication as she has current Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification. The first aid kit, flashlight, battery-operated radio, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed and in compliance. There were no medications on sight and allergy care plans to be reviewed.

Based on a review of documentation, the vendor did not have documentation of a tb screening at least every two years form the date of the initial screening. Evidence: The vendor's most recent tb documentation was dated 12/15/21.
Plan of Correction: The vendor had the tb screening done today but the documentation can not be obtained until the screening is read.
