Inspector Notes

An initial inspection was initiated and concluded on March 18, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There are currently no children enrolled, therefore there were no children present. The inspector conducted this inspection on-site, reviewing all staff & household documents during the inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Trampoline located in the back-yard will be off-limits to all children in care.

Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to have all electrical outlets secured with protective covers.

EVIDENCE:
Protective covers were not use on several outlets (bathroom & electrical strip) in the areas that will be used by enrolled children.
Plan of Correction: I covered outlets in bathroom & outlets on electrical strip with protective covers.
Standard 8VAC20-800-350-E
Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to maintain hot water temperature within a range of 105 degrees F to 120 degrees F.

EVIDENCE:
The temperature of the bathroom sink water was 138 degrees F Licensing Inspector
Plan of Correction: I turned the hot water temperature down on water heater within range of 105 degrees F to 120 degrees F.

Based on inspection and discussion with the Provider, the Licensee failed to have required diapering equipment.

EVIDENCE:
Diapering area separate from the kitchen and food preparation using non-absorbent equipment was unavailable.
Plan of Correction: I purchased a changing table. Changing table is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday March 29th 2022

Required emergency telephone numbers were not posted.
Plan of Correction: I posted required emergency numbers where they are visible.

Based on inspection & discussion with the Provider, the Licensee failed to have a menu identifying meals and/or snacks that will be served.

EVIDENCE:
A weekly menu was unavailable. Provider had not documented meals and/or snacks that will be served to enrolled children.
