Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted today with the applicant. Currently there are no children enrolled. A walkthrough of the entire home was conducted however, the basement will be the primary daycare space. There was ample space, supplies and furnishings for the requested capacity and age range.

One crib was inspection and had a manufacture date of June 2013

The provider has decided to place the deck off limits to children. If in the future you decided you want the children to use the deck, please contact your Licensing Inspector prior to use.

Many of the standards could not be determined as there were no children present. Please notify your Licensing Inspector upon enrolling your first child.

Standard 8VAC20-800-320-B
Based on observation, it was determined that protective covers were not installed on all unused electrical outlets in the basement, which will be the primary day care space.
Plan of Correction: I will cover all the outlets.
Standard 8VAC20-800-940-B
Based on observation and interview, it was determined that there was no refrigerator or freezer thermometer to monitor the temperature in both compartments.
Plan of Correction: I will locate the thermometer and place it back into the refrigerator/freezer.
