Inspector Notes
An initial inspection was initiated on February 11, 2022 and concluded on February 14, 2022. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the virtual inspection. There were not any children in care. While areas of standards could not be determined during the initial inspection due to there not being any children in care, all areas of standards were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

2Standard 8VAC20-780-320-B
Based on observation and staff interview, the applicant did not ensure sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120?F.
Evidence:
The sinks in the toddler classroom, the running water temperature was 122 degrees in both sinks.
The three sinks in the Pre-K classroom , the running water temperature were between 121.1-121.5.

Plan of Correction: The current mixing valve is not able to be adjusted. The hot water heater has been turned down to manage sink temperatures to meet standards. School manager will check faucet temperatures weekly to ensure that they are within standards until this part can be sourced and replaced by our facilities department on or before 3/ 11/22.

Based on observation and staff interview, the applicant did not ensure a restroom used for school age children that contains more than one toilet shall have at least one toilet enclosed.

There was not a restroom used for school age children that contains at least one toilet enclosed.
Director confirmed there was not a restroom enclosed for school agers.

Plan of Correction: We are working with our facilities department to source the parts and a vendor to install a stall enclosure in this bathroom on or before 3/18/22. Management and staff will ensure that only one school age student at a time uses this bathroom until this repair is complete.
