Inspector Notes
An unannounced two month inspection was conducted today. A total of 20 children with 10 staff were in classrooms today. A total of 4 classrooms were occupied. Observation of all 4 classrooms was made. The children were observed participating in a gross motor activity in the hallway due to the weather. The 3 year old class was engaging in an eye spy activity and transitioned to a circle book reading activity. Diapering and handwashing was observed in the infant room and morning snack was observed in the Red Panda Room All medication onsite was reviewed. Staff were observed sitting with children while they ate and positive interaction was observed in all four classes. A total of 4 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Violations
6Evidence: Staff #1 has resided outside the state of Virginia in the last five years. An out of state criminal history search was not obtained prior to hire.
Evidence: Child #1 (start date: 04/11/2022) did not have record of immunizations.
Evidence: Staff #2 (start date: 4/4/2022) had a TB screening dated 01/14/2022.
Evidence: Medication for child #2 was not in its' original pharmacy container with a pharmacy label.
Evidence: One staff was observed bottle feeding an infant while the child was laying down on a pillow.
Evidence: Child #3's bottles were not dated.
