Inspector Notes
An unannounced Complaint inspection was conducted today during the afernoon. The complaint concerned areas of programming and staffing as it pertains to daily outdoor time for children. Staff interviews conducted, observation of afternoon programming and review of the daily schedules were reviewed. The preponderance of evidence supports a valid finding in the program areas of the Standards. Staffing concerns were determined not valid. A corrective action was discussed. Based on staff statements and observation of afternoon programming, outdoor activity was not provided.
Evidence:
1. On the afternoon of 04/29/2024, the children were not provided outdoor activity.
2. Staff #1 stated that the week of 04/22/2024, the children were not provided outdoor activities due to the center's own staffing requirements.

Plan of Correction: All children will be provided outdoor activities weather permitting. Management or additional staff will be hired to accompany the children to the adjacent park in order to meet the franchise's requirement of a 1 to 5 ratio regardless of children's ages.
