Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated and concluded on Monday, March 18, 2024. The licensing inspector was on site from 10:15am to approximately 12:05pm. There were four nonresident children present with one provider. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, and programming. A total of one caregiver's records, one household member's' records, and one household pet records were reviewed.

A monitoring inspection was also conducted on this date. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determines non-compliance with applicable regulations or law. Violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on the water temperature taken and interview, the vendor did not ensure the sinks provided for children's use were supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120 degrees F.

Evidence: On 03/18/24, the inspector tested the hot water tap in the main bathroom sink used by children. The water registered 145 degrees F. The inspector tested the hot water tap in the kitchen sink that is also used by children. The water registered 145 degrees F.

During interview, Caregiver #1 acknowledged the hot water temperature was not maintained within the required range.
Plan of Correction: The provider will adjust the hot water tank to ensure compliance.
