Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on October 25, 2023 from 12:55pm- 2:40 pm. At the time of entrance, 49 children were in care with 7 staff members present. Additional staff was present to assist. The sample size consisted of children records and 8 staff records.Children were observed outside on the playground and children resting/napping. Medication and injury documents were reviewed. Inside and Outside were inspected during the inspection.

Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure cribs, cots, mats and beds used by children other than infants during the designated rest period or during evening and overnight care shall have linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover or a one-piece covering which is open on three edges.

Evidence :
In the two year old classroom, there were 5 children with no bottom cover and 1 child with no top and bottom cover.
In the Pre-K classroom , there were 5 children with no bottom cover.

Confirmed and observed with the director during the tour.

Based on observation , the licensee did not ensure the diapering surface shall be used only for diapering or cleaning children, and it shall be cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use.

Evidence:
In the 2 year old classroom, there was paper and clip board on the diapering surface.
