Inspector Notes

This Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 03/28/2024, between the hours of 9;30 am to 11 am. There were 3 preschool-age children present (6 points), with 1 caregiver supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined (1) one non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the home.

Based on review, a caregiver (who works directly with children) did not complete the department's health and safety update course for 2023.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (03/28/2024) a certificate of completion for the Annual Health and Safety Update Training (3 hours) was not available for review for Staff #1.
2. Staff #1 did complete the 10-hour Virginia Pre-service training.
