Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on March 14, 2023 between 10:30am and 11:30am. There are 2 children enrolled in the direct care of 1 provider. Child records, provider records, household records, pet records, the physical space, emergency drills, attendance records, the flashlight and emergency radio were reviewed and inspected. Standard 8VAC20-800-30-A
Based on interview of the provider, the provider failed to ensure compliance with the terms of the current license issued by the department.

Evidence: The current license had a minimum age of 16 months and the provider had a child enrolled that is 8 months old.
Plan of Correction: I will request a younger age for the license.
Standard 8VAC20-800-60-B
Based on record review, the provider did not ensure that a child's record contains all of the required information

Evidence: Child #2 record states that the child has an allergy, but there is not instructions for what action to take in case of emergency.
Plan of Correction: I will talk to the parents.
