Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 2:15 p.m. and ending at 3:15 p.m. with the provider. There were four children in care ages two years old through four years old for a total of eight points. Children were observed during free play and nap time. Two children were observed napping in the upstairs of the home. Childcare areas and supplies were observed.

The weekly menu was completed and posted. Emergency drills were reviewed and up to date.

Two children's records, one provider record , one volunteer record and one household member records were reviewed. The provider completed 16 hours of training for the license year.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

REPEAT VIOLATION
Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that pressure mounted gates were not utilized at stair openings. Evidence: In the upstairs of the home there is a pressure mounted gate installed with zip ties at the stair opening.

Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that each child was provided an individual rest mat for resting or napping. Evidence: In the upstairs of the home, two children were observed sleeping on a large colorful tumbling mat together.
