Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today, January 10, 2023. The inspector was on site from approximately 10:40 am until 12:00 pm. There were three children present with one caregivers supervising. Later an additional child arrived for a total value of 13 points. Children were observed building with blocks, exercising and dancing with the provider and playing. The provider interacted with all the children in a positive manner. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration,
physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of four child records, one caregiver and one household member record were reviewed. The inspector interacted with the caregiver and children in care.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector.

Based on review of documentation and interview, the provider did not ensure emergency evacuation procedures were practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.

Evidence:

The evacuation log had one evacuation drill documented on August 1, 2022. There were no drills documented for the months of September 2022 through December 2022. The provider stated she had only conducted the one evacuation drill.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will conduct evacuation drill every month and document them on the log.
