Inspector Notes

An unannounced 60-day inspection was conducted on 8/8/22 from 9:30am to 10:05am with the provider and one assistant. There was one child in care upon arrival and another arrived later. The children were eight-months and 17-months old, for a total of seven points. Children were observed playing outside and having free play with toys inside. Four child records were reviewed and were in compliance. The provider record, assistant record, and one household member record were reviewed at the initial and were in compliance. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not currently accept medication and is not certified in Medication Administration Training, but she understands that this is required if she begins accepting emergency medications. The emergency drill log and attendance were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
