Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 10/26/22 from 10:15am to 11:20am with the provider and assistant. There were 10 children in care, ranging in age from 11-months to three-years-old, for a total of 29 points. Children were observed playing outside then transitioning inside when it began to rain; washing hands and having free play; and infants being fed. Four child records and three caregiver records were reviewed. The household member record was reviewed in May and August. The provider and both assistants have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not administer medication and is aware of the requirement for Medication Administration Training prior to beginning to give medication. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.

Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-800-50-A

Plan of Correction: The attendance was updated during the inspection and moving forward, the attendance will be marked as children arrive.
