Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/22/24 from 10:30am to 11:40am with the provider who was present with two assistants. There were 11 children in care, ranging in age from six-months to four-years-old, for a total of 26 points. Children were observed playing outside, transitioning inside and washing hands, having diapers changed, participating in circle time, and having free play. Four child records, three caregiver records, one household member record, and one pet record were reviewed. The provider and one assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not give medication and understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication in the future. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
