Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on site and out in the forest on February 21, 2023 from 8:48 A.M.-11:15 A.M. and concluded on February 22, 2023. There were five children present, ranging in ages from three to five years of age, with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records, one agent background checks, and two staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on interview and review of evacuation drills, the center failed to implement a monthly practice evacuation drill.

Evidence:
1. There was no documentation that a practice evacuation drill had been completed for October 2022.
2. Administration verified that a practice drill had not been conducted in October 2022.
Plan of Correction: Administration will review the requirements for evacuation drills at their next staff meeting.
