Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was completed on 09/10/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 8:15 am and ended at 11:05 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 29 children present and 9 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site.

This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
The diapering surface shall be non-absorbent.

The diaper changing surface had a rip and could not be considered non-absorbent while cleaning and sanitizing.
Plan of Correction: Will order one today.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-I
The center may administer prescription medication that would normally be administered by a parent or guardian to a child provided the center has obtained written authorization from a parent.

Child A did not have written authorization for medication onsite that was signed by parent.
Plan of Correction: Will ensure that all forms are filled out by families. Will review and update.
