Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on site on 02/13/2023 from 3:31 P.M.-4:56 P.M., and at administrative offices on 02/14/2023 from 8:45 A.M.-9:30 A.M. There were 13 children present with two staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Based on review of staff records and interview, the center failed to ensure that all staff held a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Evidence:
1. Staff #3's CPR certification had expired on 10/16/2022.
2. Staff #3 verified that the CPR certification had expired.
Plan of Correction: Director will document all expiration dates of all staff on site so that we can be openly aware of expiration dates. This will allow staff to have ample time to get enrolled into a class before they expire. Staff will be scheduled for recertification as soon as possible.
