Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on October 30, 2024 and the inspection concluded on November 5, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 4:30 p.m. and ended at 5:45 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 26 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records on site and 3 staff records electronically on 11/5/2024. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-540-E
The center shall have one working, battery-operated radio in each building used by children. The center did not have batteries available for the radio.
Plan of Correction: Director will purchase batteries for the radio.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
A written care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Child A and Child B, who have been enrolled for over two months, has a diagnosed food allergy and did not have a written care plan in their files.
Plan of Correction: Director will request allergy action plan for children with food allergies.
