22.1 EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION
Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was conducted on March 9, 2023. The inspector was on site from approximately 2:45 pm until 4:10 pm. The director was present and assisted with the inspection. There were 15 children present, ranging in ages from five years to ten years, with two staff supervising. The regional director was also on site. Children were observed working on homework and coloring math sheets. The theme of the month is Math. Games and activities were based around the theme. Later children went to the gym to play a group game. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records were reviewed. Five staff records were reviewed virtually on March 13, 2023. Staff interacted with children in a positive manner. The inspector interacted with staff and children.
